Moebius:

Jean Giraud, born May 8, 1938 in Nogent-sur-Marne and died March 10, 2012 in Montrouge, is a French comic book author, known under his own name and under the pseudonyms Mœbius and Gir. He is the creator, with the screenwriter Jean-Michel Charlier, of the famous western comic strip Blueberry, which he signs under the name of Gir then under his real name. Under the pseudonym of Mœbius, he is the author and / or designer of science fiction comics, such as Le Garage hermétique, L'Incal or Arzach, which have won him international recognition in the United States and Japan, usually not very receptive to European comics. Mœbius is one of the founders of the publishing house Les Humanoïdes associés, editor of the magazine Métal hurlant. He also participates in the graphic design of films like Alien and Tron. His impact on comics, under the name of Giraud as under that of Mœbius, made him one of the major French-speaking cartoonists of the 20th century
