Petite Poissone was born in 1976 near Grenoble.
A graduate of the Caen School of Fine Arts, her artistic practice is multifaceted, encompassing illustration, children's book author, cartoonist, and street artist. She began pasting her drawings and poetic phrases in the streets in 2011.
Her caustic humor is biting; she addresses racism, sexism, pedophilia, and violence against women, while also speaking of love and lasting relationships, the challenge being to avoid falling into the melancholy of everyday life.
While her writing style is immediately recognizable, so too is the technique she employs. She created her own typeface and pastes her striking slogans on everything from park benches and city walls to found objects. In 2022, she created a communications campaign for Grenoble-Alpes-Métropole on the theme of gender-based violence in the workplace. She has had numerous exhibitions in galleries and at art festivals.
