THE E.Dolls:
The E.Dolls are all beautiful, but they bear the marks of their lives on their faces. Each tells us a story, her story: the violence of existence, the weight of upbringing, the madness of men, the wear and tear of time… They are beautiful, but behind or through this perfect beauty, a human wound, all too human, is revealed… Are they fantastical mutants or, on the contrary, so very women? The image of the modern woman is that of a woman who successfully balances her private life and professional career. This image of women is the one conveyed by Western society, through women's magazines and advertising campaigns… To be one of them is to reconcile the traditional role of homemaker with that of a liberated woman. A woman who successfully combines a fulfilling career, raising children, an immaculate home, a look that is both sexy and sophisticated, nurtured friendships, and finally, a fabulous love life… But being a superwoman isn't the only requirement for the modern woman; she must also be beautiful, slim, sexy, ageless, and wrinkle-free…
Most women consciously or unconsciously live dependent on the gaze and approval of others… In this frantic race for external validation, they lose themselves, damage themselves, tear themselves apart, and become tarnished…

BIOGRAPHY:
Softtwix is one of the three facets of the artist Le Blazon. Initially trained in photography, she worked in the fashion and advertising industries across various European cities, including Paris, London, and Milan, before establishing herself as a photographer in Paris. It was during these experiences that she developed a critical perspective on the aesthetic norms of contemporary society, particularly regarding the representation of women. She created her first urban installations in 2014 as part of her project, E.Doll. This project involves placing immense black and white portraits of women, which she composes herself, in the street. These portraits bear scars, marks of their history and lived experiences. In this way, she expresses her reflection on the aesthetic expectations imposed on women by society, denouncing the injunction to remain beautiful and fresh regardless of what they may have experienced or endured. Her works are meticulously placed in carefully selected public spaces to maximize their impact and encourage meaningful interaction with the public. By seeking harmony between his creations and the urban environment, Softtwix seeks to provoke reflection and challenge social norms through his art in public spaces.
