A leading figure in the French street art scene, Jo di Bona owes his meteoric rise to his unique technique, which he invented himself in the 1990s: “Pop Graffiti.” In this style, he combines collage, various graffiti influences, and the Pop Culture with which he has deeply immersed himself. A modern-day Fauvist, Jo blends colors and movements to create faces imbued with poetry and emotion.
Awarded the prestigious 1st Prize for Graffiti from the EDF Foundation in 2014, he has since participated in numerous international exhibitions, performances, and murals. Jo di Bona was also among the first street artists in the world to have entered the United Nations headquarters in New York in January 2017, he is among the 25 international artists represented in the Guide to Urban Contemporary Art 2019/2020/2022/2023/2024, has notably made the front page of the New York Times and is regularly praised by the media (radio, press, TV…) He has since had numerous publications in various Art books, released his first monograph in May 2024 with Gallimard // Alternatives and was officially appointed ambassador of volunteers for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
