Josette BARDOUX:
Naive painter.
Born in Saint-Cloud on January 6th, 1948.
Self-taught, she began with a naive painting true, not manufactured.
In 1973, she exhibited in Boston. In 1976 in Belgium, Ostend and Kortrijk. In 1977, at the Roussard Gallery.
Originally from Auvergne, his lithographs, paintings, pastels and drawings are naive celebrations of rural life. Josette paints a mythical nature, a countryside where she likes to live and where she recently decided to retire. She composes genre scenes, rural weddings, shepherd in his solitude, fishermen-sailors, the grape harvests in the Bordeaux region. The rhythm of the seasons and the strength of the rural tradition meet with references to mythology and the Bible. Exhibited in Montmartre, and, for a time, worked with Robert Delval, which corresponds to a short period during which his style was influenced by Hundertwasser.
