Armando Gentilini is the son of the sculptor Angelo Gentilini. He began very early to draw and help his father in his sculpture works, but also in the construction of chariots for the carnival of San Remo and Nice. He only studied painting in Italian museums. In 1931 he exhibited in Berlin two paintings. A nude and a woman with a mask. The painting were higly appreciated. He settled down in Montmartre where he did several portraits, especially of woman and children.
