/// Biography of AkElo ///

AkElo (aka Génia Akoulova) is a Franco-Russian artist. She lives and works in the Parisian suburbs. AkElo was trained as a designer first in Russia and then in Paris (E.N.S.C.I. “Les Ateliers”). She began to practice painting as a student and repeatedly painted murals, worked in cinema and cartoons. From 2015 onwards she turned to street art by participating in the "TRAIT D'UNION: Saut de l'ange" festival. AkElo paints his frescoes in oils and also does the collages (printing on paper then enhanced by hand in watercolor from his original paintings), as well as the installations on grids and other urban supports. Her work is focused on characters and cultural and ethnic mixing.
