/// Biography of GRAFFMATT ///
GRAFFMATT is a French artist from Chambéry. Graduated from the La Martinière-Diderot art school in 2006 (Lyon), he specialized in graphics and video, but his main activity very quickly became painting. He began his first frescoes in 2013, he has since participated in numerous festivals and has exhibited as far as Hong Kong. His attraction to graffiti combined with the technique of graphics allowed the artist to forge his style where drawing has a predominant place in his artistic work. Using black and white, GRAFFMATT also uses the expressive potential of fluorescent color to create a feeling of fragility and power. This search for contrast and dynamism leads him to mix aerosol and acrylic, adding several textures to immerse the viewer in an atmosphere that suggests both sensuality and vulnerability. During Covid, he created a painting for the benefit of Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris entitled “Last round” which shows a nurse with boxing gloves, determined to knock out the Coronavirus. This work will become the cover of the book retracing the history of the SAATO project in support of the public hospital.
