Acrylic on canvas. Handsigned. Size: 200x200cm

This artwork was created by the artist during the Festival organized by the Galerie Roussard at the Poste du Louvre in November 2024.

Certificate of authenticity.

With this monumental acrylic painting (200 x 200 cm), Kaldea unfolds the full power of her distinctive style, at the intersection of street art, pop art, and consciously embraced Asian influences. Created as a live painting in a location as symbolic as La Poste du Louvre, this work embodies both the artist’s technical mastery and her ability to captivate a live audience.

The central face, stylized and mesmerizing, seems to emerge from a futuristic dream. The forms are smooth, almost liquid, evoking the aesthetic of a vinyl figurine or digital doll. Yet beneath this glossy surface lies emotional subtlety: a floating gaze, without pupils, that both questions and seduces. The red and orange lips, perfectly shaped, form an inverted heart that instantly draws the eye.

The figure, somewhere between a pop icon and an urban deity, is adorned with plastic flowers, pearls, and a smiling balloon—symbols of sweetness, celebration, and playful artificiality. The soft, misty background filled with blurry white flowers contrasts with the sharp, cold clarity of the face. Here, we see Kaldea’s signature touch: a play of opposites between the natural and the synthetic, between decorative heritage and contemporary language.

The live aspect of this piece gives it a special energy: one can sense the quick, precise movement and the channeled spontaneity. True to her approach, Kaldea does not aim to illustrate a fixed idea, but rather to provoke an immediate, visceral emotion through a luminous palette and forms that waver between softness and mystery.

This large canvas is much more than a portrait—it is an embodiment: of hybrid femininity, of a reinvented global culture, of urban art that remains sensitive without ever losing its visual impact. Kaldea once again affirms her ability to bring together beauty, strangeness, and symbolism in a language that is uniquely her own.

BIOGRAPHY

Kaldea is a French artist, who lives in Paris. She has been painting on canvas since the early 2000s. She quickly found her unique style, which will evolve over time. In 2011, a professional opportunity in Germany allowed him to paint on larger surfaces, such as containers or cars. She then moves very quickly to the walls, which offer her greater opportunities to express herself artistically.
The meeting of diverse cultures and people is a great asset for her, an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Since her beginnings in urban art, Kaldea has become a key artist in the field with, to her credit, several participations in international festivals – from London to Bangkok, via Zagreb, Munich or Lisbon – in which she works as much on canvas only on the facade. His artistic universe is tinged with Asian, ethnic, futuristic and Art Deco influences, which makes it unique. For her, each work must provoke a deep emotion in the viewer, thanks to an original, luminous and deep chromatic theme.
