Biography: René Botti (born 1948) is a French painter, lithographer, and printmaker whose work is rooted in the tradition of expressive figuration. Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Saint-Étienne, he has developed a dense and poetic body of work, often marked by dreamlike landscapes, solitary figures, and a strong sensitivity to painterly textures. His approach to lithography reflects a deep respect for classical techniques while engaging with a contemporary sensibility. Botti's works are held in various public and private collections, and he has exhibited widely in France and abroad.
