/// Biography SAX ///
Henry Blache, also known as Sax, is a French street artist based in Paris and originally from the south of France. His vibrant, splashy paintings of animals quickly captured the attention of passersby on the streets of Paris, conveying an ecological message about the plight of endangered species. His highly instinctive and spontaneous painting technique draws on certain principles of Chinese xieyi painting, emphasizing the expression of emotions and feelings. From watercolor and ink to acrylic paint and spray paint, he uses a variety of materials to enhance the intensity and emotion in his works. In March 2023, his exhibition "The Four Elements," organized by the Galerie Roussard at the Madeleine Church, attracted nearly 15,000 visitors. During the summer of 2023, he began a project of monumental ephemeral murals entitled "Empreintes" (Imprints), creating two ground-level murals using 100% natural materials and incorporating certain techniques from rock art. These works, painted in nature, only truly come into their own when viewed from the air. The spontaneity and precision of his work are exemplified by the "live painting" sessions he regularly performs at events in France and abroad.
