/// Biography of Claude MONTOYA ///

Born in 1950 Claude Montoya received her training as an artist in Brittany then in Paris before settling in Quebec, Montreal in 1986. In Brittany, Rennes, she studied at the School of Architecture then at the School of Fine Arts. In Paris, she attended several workshops, including Atelier 63 founded by Joëlle Serve, a student of Stanley Hayter, where she began printmaking in 1981. When she arrived in Montreal, she was a member of Atelier Graff and then of the Guild. Graphic before setting up his own workshop in a loft in Old Montreal. Since 1986, the artist has completely devoted himself to the art of painting and etching.
